PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico -  The president of Haiti said on Sunday the death toll from his country's earthquake could reach 300,000 once all the bodies are recovered from wrecked buildings.

 A gang of heavily armed men stormed a party inside a house in the border city of Ciudad Juárez killing 13 teenagers in the early hours of yesterday morning.

CUERNAVACA, Mexico -  Two hundred sailors raided an upscale apartment complex and killed one of Mexico's top kingpins in a two-hour gunbattle Wednesday, one of the biggest victories yet in President Felipe Calderon's drug war.

The Tet Offensive of Mexico’s Drug War?

Updated :1:22 p.m. Last weekend,  the arrest of a senior figure in a Mexican drug cartel known as La Familia led to a wave of coordinated attacks by the cartel against federal police posts and one military base, killing three federal officers and two soldiers.

MEXICO - Mexico City became the first Latin American city to legalize same-sex marriage today, redefining marriage in its civil code as the “free uniting of two people.”
